Slim (Jennifer Lopez) comes from a working-class family and believes she has found the man of her dreams in Mitch (Billy Campbell). However, after the birth of their first child, Slim discovers Mitch’s dark side – controlling, abusive, and turning love and trust into terror. Concerned for her child’s safety, Slim flees with her daughter. Mitch, relentless in his pursuit, enlists deadly allies to try and reclaim his former family. In a final showdown, Slim finally says enough is enough and engages in a physical and psychological battle with Mitch.
