Erin Brockovich is in a tough spot without money, a job, or hope for the future. After getting into a car accident that wasn’t her fault, she finds herself in even worse circumstances. With no other options, Erin convinces her lawyer, Ed Masry, to hire her at his law firm. While working there, she stumbles upon some medical records in real estate files. Confused, Erin starts to suspect a connection. Persuading Ed to investigate, Erin discovers that the water used by the local community is contaminated, a truth that has been hidden from them, leading to serious illnesses among the residents.
