Ondskan 2003
In a story set in 1950s Sweden, teenage Erik is a troubled young man whose life has become unbearable due to his stepfather’s abuse. Sent away to a boarding school far from home by his stepfather’s decision, Erik initially sees this as a salvation but soon realizes that it is not as it seems. At the school, there is a serious competition among students and a hostile environment where the strong students oppress the weak. Erik realizes that even the teachers are under as much pressure as the students, making him feel like he is in a kind of prison. Tougher days await Erik at the school, making his past life seem easier in comparison.
