The main characters of the story, artist couple D and H, prepare to sell their modern-style home, which has played a decisive role in their relationship and probably their work for about 20 years. This sudden and major change causes concerns to surface and cracks in their relationship to grow. Dreams, memories, and fears, all influenced by the house, have left their mark. The house itself, with its sharp corners and sliding doors like a Chinese puzzle, is as difficult to understand as the inhabitants, serving as a compelling and impactful third lead role in the film, which closes with a dedication to architect James Melvin.
