Facing Windows is Ferzan Özpetek’s award-winning Italian film, which follows the story of Giovanna and her husband Filippo, a young couple married for nine years with two children, who meet an elderly man by chance on the street. When a forgetful old man enters their lives, the young woman’s life begins to change. The troubled young woman’s platonic love for her neighbor, whom she watches from the opposite window, and the broken love story echoing from the past of an elderly man start to affect both of their lives. It is time for the young woman to question her life. Why do lives that appear from the opposite windows seem attractive and is it really so difficult to change your own life?
