Les adieux à la reine 2012
In July 1789, the French Revolution reaches its peak. Away from the hustle and bustle, at the Palace of Versailles, King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette, along with other members of the court, live their normal lives. However, they are shocked to learn of the attack on the Bastille. Many aristocrats and servants flee like rats leaving a sinking ship, leaving the royal family alone. Among them is the queen’s reader, Sidonie Laborde, who will never abandon her queen under any circumstances. What Sidonie doesn’t know is that she only has three days to spend with her beloved queen.
