Flag Day, an adaptation of Jennifer Vogel’s famous memoir Flim-Flam Man: The True Story of My Father’s Counterfeit Life, tells the story of her complex relationship with her con artist father, John Vogel. John Vogel, who often operated on the wrong side of the law, set buildings on fire, robbed banks, and committed counterfeit schemes worth over $20 million. At the same time, he could also be a loving and caring father, complicating his bond with his daughter.
