Unconventional storytelling method in the film portrays an impossible relationship between an elderly piano teacher Traude Krüger (played by Monika Bleibtreu, mother of Moritz Bleibtreu) and her student Jenny, a dangerous criminal in a women’s prison. Krüger, in her over forty-year career, has never encountered a musical talent like Jenny. If allowed to participate, she could win a prestigious piano competition. But for those who do not seek action in their lives, competition is not important.
