Four Rooms 1995
Quentin Tarantino’s quirky comedy nonsense, a collaboration of four “independent” directors. Ted starts working as a hotel service clerk at a luxurious but faded hotel and on his first night on the job, he has to deal with one of the four most bizarre rooms. In the first room, a group of witches are trying to summon the spirit of the goddess Diana. Ted is forced to babysit for a tough gangster in the second room. In the third room, a crazy horned husband lives. When Ted enters the last room, he finds himself in the middle of a party hosted by a snobby movie star. All these “characters” have different expectations from Ted. It’s a work where Tarantino and his friends try to bring to life with a much calmer and more modest style, but give justice to the absurd comedy.
