Storyline

Franklyn 2008

Franklin is one of the most talked about fantasy films of recent times, moving between two parallel worlds: today’s London and a fictional future City dominated by faith and religious fanaticism. Gulf War veteran, devout Esser, searches the dark, homeless streets of London to find his missing rebel son. In his thirties, Milo struggles to regain pure and powerful feelings of real love. Attractive and traumatized art student Emilia creates art projects that balance the fine line between life and death about suicide. The only atheist in town, the masked maverick Detective Priest is out for revenge on the streets. A single bullet will determine the fate of these four lost souls in the most unexpected way. Similar to Terry Gilliam’s world, the film skillfully weaves a complex plot, deftly moving between reality and fantasy. Gerald McMorrow, who wants to question our perspective on life, love, and loss, is already proving his talent with this first film.
