Alex Furlong, a racer, is on the verge of death in a horrific accident during a race when his body is stolen by 21st-century pirates just seconds before a major crash. These high-tech computer pirates, led by Victor Wasendak, aim to find healthy bodies for older and wealthier clients living in the future. Alex, envied by this group, is taken from his taxi and sent to be delivered to billionaire McCandless in 2009. The process is very simple. The brains of dying or very old patients are transferred to healthy and young bodies brought from the past. Alex Furlong takes his own life and successfully escapes from the men.
