Gauguin – Voyage de Tahiti 2017
In 1891, Gauguin exiles himself to Tahiti in order to rediscover himself as a free and wild man, away from the moral, political, and aesthetic codes of civilized Europe. He faces loneliness, poverty, and illness. There, he meets Tehura, who will become his wife and the subject of his greatest paintings. Directed by Edouard Deluc, the 2017 French film Gauguin: Voyage to Tahiti tells the story of Gauguin’s journey to Tahiti.
