This beautiful drama is based on the true story of anthropologist Dian Fossey (Sigourney Weaver) who, by chance, starts working with rare mountain gorillas deep in the heart of Africa and learns to communicate with them. Now, she is more interested in the gorillas than her academic pursuits, and she is fighting against animal traders and poachers at the risk of her own life.
