Swiss girl Heidi, only 8 years old, is left with her grandfather who lives in a mountain house by her aunt. Later, her aunt separates Heidi from her grandfather so she can live with the Sesemann family in Frankfurt, Germany. Heidi arrives at the Sesemann family’s home and befriends Clara, who is confined to a wheelchair. Despite missing her grandfather and the mountain life, Heidi tries to stay positive. When Heidi and Clara become friends, everything changes.
