Bette Midler plays the main witch, Winifred Sanderson, with her male sidekick and beautiful voice Sarah Jessica Parker (using her voice to trick children) as Sarah Sanderson and the other smelling like rotten Mary Sanderson. The Sanderson sisters, who take the life of Binks’ sister, turn him into a talking black cat trying to save his sister. During the execution, Winifred Sanderson cast a spell that they will return as long as a virgin lights a black-flamed candle… 300 years later, a boy named Max comes to the witch’s house in the town of Salem. Witches, Halloween, and lighting candles. Candle. The witches come back to life, but only for this day. Until the child dies… but the spell book they need is with Max and the chase begins.
