Hostage 2005
Geoff Talley, a police officer working at the Los Angeles Police Department, mediates hostage cases. However, when things go wrong one day and he fails to prevent the person holding a child hostage from committing suicide and killing the child, he falls into a depression and requests to be transferred to a small town in search of peace. Leaving his wife and child behind, Talley, seeking the tranquility he lost, finds himself in a bigger trouble than before. Three young men trying to steal a car are forced to take the car owner’s family hostage when things go wrong. However, the hostage family is not ordinary. The house of the mafia boss Sonny Benza’s family in West New York contains millions of dollars, and the ringleader Mars, realizing this money, will not leave the town without taking it. Benza, learning the situation, takes Talley’s wife and daughter hostage and the situation completely spirals out of Talley’s control. The peaceful town he came to has turned into a nightmare worse than Los Angeles.
