Hotel Rwanda 2004
In 1994, in the country of Rwanda on the other side of the world, a war between Hutus and Tutsis resulted in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people. The streets turned into fields of corpses. While the whole world turned a blind eye to this humanitarian crisis, the owner of a hotel named Paul showed incredible dedication by saving the lives of 1,200 people and turning his hotel into a refuge. The film, which garnered Don Cheadle an Oscar nomination for Best Actor for his outstanding performance, tells a true story of human tragedy and a unique tale of heroism.
