If I Were You tells the funny and heartwarming story of two sisters who have nothing in common except for their shoe sizes. Maggie and Rose Feller are black and white sisters with different styles and goals. Maggie is a real party girl who has changed jobs many times since graduating from high school and believes her only talent is her impact on the opposite sex. Rose, on the other hand, is a Princeton graduate lawyer working in a beautifully decorated office at one of Philadelphia’s largest law firms. She has a nice house but is not very good at dealing with the outside world, constantly complaining. The two sisters will travel together, learn to respect each other, and become sisters again. At the end of the journey, they will reach their grandmother, whom they believed to be dead, and learn important life lessons from her.
