Invictus 2009
Clint Eastwood’s film “Invictus” tells the inspiring story of Nelson Mandela (Morgan Freeman) and the captain of the South African soccer team (Matt Damon) working together to bring unity to their country. Mandela, newly elected, is aware of the racial and economic discrimination facing his nation. He supports the South African soccer team, who had a strong showing in the 1995 World Cup, believing that sports can bring people together through the universal language of the game.
