Young Anthony, studying at Camus in Sacramento, is drafted into the army towards the end of the 1980s and will go to war without understanding why he is fighting against an unknown enemy. As the 1990s approach, many nations fight in the Gulf War, including American soldiers. The soldiers adopt a trendy haircut during this war called “Jarhead.” In the midst of the war, they find themselves aimlessly in the heart of battle, but they must fight somehow.
