Amity Island, a small holiday town, is visited by a relentless great white shark. Despite numerous deaths, the mayor’s focus on profit and tourism keeps the incident hushed up. Efforts are made to conceal the problem and avoid discussing it. The beach closure is prohibited by the mayor. When a child is killed one day, the townspeople are ready to hunt down and find that shark.
