In the 1940s, a young man in Alabama struggles to support his family after his wife leaves him for an Englishman and moves to England. When his wife passes away, she leaves a will requesting to be buried in Alabama, where the man hasn’t seen her in almost 30 years. Both his Alabama family and his English family come together to get to know each other, leading to unexpected outcomes.
