Joy Ride 2001
In the thriller film Fun Ride, also known as Never Play with Strangers in our country, we see strong similarities with the new film Jeepers Creepers as well as Steven Spielberg’s famous Duel from his first film. Directed by John Dahl, the film stars Paul Walker, Leelee Sobieski, and Steve Zahn. The movie brings back the popular CB radios used by folk groups in the 80s in the US and Turkey. Recent college graduate Lewis plans a trip to America with his dream girl Vienna. However, a prank on a lonely and restless trucker leads him into a trap set by his estranged brother Fuller. The radio calls where a young man mocks himself in a woman’s voice ignite a deep sense of revenge in the angry trucker known as “Rusty Nail” and the roads are endless. The journey turns into a fight for survival.
