Charles (Michael Douglas), who has been undergoing psychiatric treatment for some time, moves in with his daughter Miranda (Evan Rachel Wood) after leaving the hospital. Miranda, a girl who continued to live with her father after her mother left home at a young age and was later hospitalized in a psychiatric hospital, is now living alone. However, after her father’s return, Miranda becomes hardened. Equipped with a metal detector and a treasure hunter kit, Charlie sets out in search of a lost treasure he believes is buried near their home, identified from a map in a book in the hospital library. Initially skeptical of this idea, Miranda soon becomes involved in her father’s strange behavior. In this dark comedy film, one side wants to believe in the treasure story while the other still says the man is crazy. Miranda is also in the same situation; Sometimes she gets so caught up in her father’s story that sometimes everything seems meaningless.
