Knowing 2009
In 1959, a group of students are asked to draw what they think the future will look like at the opening ceremony of a new elementary school. The drawings will be placed in a time capsule and stored for 50 years. However, a mysterious girl fills her paper with seemingly random numbers and claims they were whispered to her by invisible people. Fifty years later, a new generation of students investigates the contents of the capsule and the encrypted message falls into the hands of a young Caleb Koestler. Caleb’s father, astrophysics professor John Koestler, discovers the secrets in the document, revealing that it accurately predicts the history and death toll of every major disaster in the past 50 years. As John uncovers the mysteries in the message, he learns that three more disasters are set to occur, leading to global destruction. Despite John’s warnings, authorities ignore his concerns. When Caleb realizes he is somehow part of the mystery, John’s fears escalate. With the help of the message’s author’s daughter Diana Weiland and granddaughter Abby Weiland, John races against time to stop the ultimate disaster.
