Late Night 2019
The film tells the story of talk show host Katherine Newbury, who is accused of being a woman hater. Despite wanting to maintain her successful career, Newbury is determined to prove that the rumors about her are not true. In an effort to show people that she doesn’t hate women, Newbury decides to hire a woman for her all-white, all-male team. After various interviews, she hires Molly, a black woman who previously worked in a chemistry lab for quality control. Initially uncomfortable with Molly’s presence, Newbury eventually grows closer to her as they work together to boost the show’s plummeting ratings and revive her career.
