Retired sheriff George Blackledge is trying to cope with the loss of his wife and son. Their only remaining family members are their grandchildren, whom they want to find and bring into their family. Upon discovering that their grandchildren are staying with a dangerous family, the Blackledge couple sets out on a journey to Dakota to protect their grandchildren.
