Lethal Weapon 1987
When LAPD Sergeant Roger Murtaugh (Danny Glover), a detective thinking about retiring at the age of 50, starts investigating the murder of the daughter of his banker friend Michael Hunsaker, whom he knew from the Vietnam War, he is partnered with a new colleague. Sergeant Martin Riggs (Mel Gibson) is a suicidal cop who lost his wife in a car accident. As the investigation progresses, clues lead them to a group of Vietnam-era mercenaries called Shadow Company. Led by General Peter McAllister, this group distributes and deals heroin in the Los Angeles area. Our heroes find themselves in a battle with a group of terrorists trying to kill them while investigating a simple murder case.
