Letters from Iwo Jima 2006
The Battle of Iwo Jima in 1945 saw 110,000 American troops landing on the island to face off against 20,000 Japanese soldiers. The Japanese defended the island for 40 days, but were eventually overcome by the superior numbers and equipment of the Americans. This film tells the story of this epic battle.
