This film depicts the final years of Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States, who led the country during the intense Civil War that took place in the northern states between 1861 and 1865. As the heat of the Civil War fades away, differences of opinion arise between Lincoln and his cabinet. The most serious disagreement revolves around the issue of slavery. The film is directed by the successful Steven Spielberg.
