Little Children 2006
In the American suburbs, the echoes of “Madame Bovary”. Sarah is in a loveless marriage with an advertising executive and longs to achieve more by spending long hours in the park or by the pool with her daughter. Brad is a documentary filmmaker married to an immature housewife. Ronnie has just been released from prison and lives with his elderly mother May. Larry is a retired police officer who didn’t let Ronnie escape. Sarah and Brad’s paths cross. Ronnie and Larry have their demons. Brad has to work in a bar and Larry loses his job. Ronnie’s mother also thinks her son needs a girlfriend. Sarah no longer wants to live in this miserable life in cramped neighborhoods. Throughout the film, the audience wonders where each of these complex stories will lead.
