Oscar-winning screenwriter William Monahan makes his directorial debut with a film that follows the story of Mitchell, a newly released convict trying to start a new life. Wanting to leave his past behind and settle down, Mitchell turns down offers similar to his previous job and instead decides to work as a bag carrier for famous actress Charlotte. Their work relationship quickly turns into love, but Mitchell’s past continues to haunt him. Determined to fight back, Mitchell realizes he must win in the future to clean up his past.
