Lost Highway 1997
Fred Madison, a man living in Los Angeles who plays jazz saxophone in a nightclub, is drawn into strange events when he receives a videotape filmed outside his house. He then discovers another tape inside the house and a third tape in the bedroom with his wife. At a party of a friend of his wife, whom he has never met before, Madison meets a strange man who claims to know him and says that he is now inside the house. The next day, after his wife is found dead in the house, Madison becomes a suspect and is accused of being a jealous husband who killed his wife. With no memory of his wife’s murder, Madison is unsure of what to do as the evidence against him mounts. Suddenly disappearing from between four walls, Madison is replaced by a young man named Pete Dayton. Dayton is a young car mechanic who falls in love with Alice, the girlfriend of a gangster who only cares about his car. Trying to escape from the gangsters with Alice, Dayton decides to kill the man who forces Alice to become a prostitute in order to escape her dark past.
