Slevin’s (JOSH HARTNETT) life isn’t going well: his apartment is being sealed off; he’s lost his identity because of a thief; and he caught his girlfriend with another man. To get away from Los Angeles and his problems for a while, he takes his friend Nick Fisher’s key to his apartment in New York. However, his bad luck follows him and things get even worse. The Rabbi (SIR BEN KINGSLEY) and the Boss (MORGAN FREEMAN) are two respected and feared crime bosses in New York. Once partners, the two men are now each other’s greatest enemies and run their operations from mansions on the same street. Despite their power, they are prisoners of paranoia and have not left their fortresses in the past 20 years.
