Malèna 2000
The small town of Castelcuto on the sunny and peaceful coast of Sicily comes to life with the arrival of the beautiful Malena. Away from her husband sent to the front, Malena’s every walk causes a stir in the town, with men looking at her with lustful eyes and women condemning her with anger and hatred. The town’s young men follow her wherever she goes, including 13-year-old dreamer Renato Amoroso, whose feelings towards Malena become increasingly obsessive. Realizing this, his family seeks help from a priest, an exorcist, and even a prostitute to prevent their son’s sinful tendencies. However, Renato will not give up his obsession and will stand by Malena in her toughest moments.
