Andy Kaufman (Jim Carrey), known for his unique and clumsy comedic style, catches the attention of famous manager George Shapiro (Danny DeVito) when he first appears on Saturday Night Live. With Shapiro’s help, Kaufman’s career starts to take off. Moving beyond traditional comedy, Kaufman aims to surprise rather than simply make the audience laugh.
