Mean Streets 1973
Charlie, known for his moral values, along with bar manager Tony and mischievous thug Johnny, are three friends living in New York’s Little Italy neighborhood. Their daily lives are filled with small scams, fights, and collecting protection money for Charlie’s uncle Don Juan. They do their best to keep Johnny out of trouble, as they owe money to Michael, a small-time smuggling organizer and regular patron of the bar, as well as to everyone else in the neighborhood. As Charlie tries to maintain an illicit relationship with Johnny’s niece Teresa, he quickly realizes that he has been left alone to protect his friend due to his uncle’s coercion.
