Mississippi Burning 1988
Mississippi Burning tells the story of the Ku Klux Klan’s murder of three civil rights activists in 1964, with all names changed. The FBI launches an investigation into the disappearance of these three individuals and assigns two agents, Anderson (Gene Hackman) and Ward (Willem Dafoe), to the case. Anderson is older and experienced, while Ward is young and idealistic. The differing methods and approaches used to solve the case highlight the dilemma the FBI faced at that time.
