Monster 2003
Eileen Wuornos, the world’s first female serial killer who killed numerous people between 1989 and 1990. After being caught, she was convicted in 1992 for killing 7 people, causing a sensation in the United States and around the world. Wuornos, who was a lesbian and a prostitute, chose her victims among the people she had sex with. It was revealed that the terrifying female killer took her victims to the forest and hid them, but the bodies of two suspected victims were never found. Wuornos’ former lover testified against her in court; the jury was not convinced that her lawyer’s argument of childhood abuse and trauma mitigated her actions, and she was sentenced to death in 2003.
