L’écume des jours 2013
Boris Vian’s novel “Mood Indigo” was brought to the big screen by director Michel Gondry. Romain Duris and Audrey Tautou play the main characters Colin and Chloe. In this surreal and poetic story, idealist inventor Colin meets Chloe, a girl whose birthplace seems to be one of Duke Ellington’s blues. Their love story takes a sad turn as Chloe is afflicted with a strange illness, with a lotus flower growing in her lungs. In a fantasy version of Paris, Colin works odd jobs in an attempt to cure Chloe.
