Moulin Rouge! 2001
In 1899, a young and talented poet named Christian defies his father, leaves home, and moves to Montmartre in Paris. There, he meets Satine, a star at a music hall, and falls in love with her. Satine also falls in love with Christian, but their love is dangerous as Satine is a famous courtesan who has been with Paris’s most famous and wealthy individuals.
