David and Jules’ relationship is similar to that of other 16-year-old girls and their fathers in many ways. David struggles to understand his daughter, while Jules refuses to communicate with him. David wants to involve his daughter in his life, while Jules wants to have her own personal life. However, what sets David and Jules apart from others is that two years ago, David’s wife and Jules’ mother tragically died in a car accident. Both wake up to this painful reality every day and try to cope with their daily tasks. Unable to bear her father’s condition any longer, Jules creates an account on online dating sites for her father. Her only goal is to find someone suitable for her father whom she can also talk to.
