Bill, a bug exterminator with a mundane life, secretly desires to be a writer. However, he is tied down by a house to take care of and a wife, Joan. When Bill discovers that Joan is addicted to household bug sprays, he joins her and enters a bizarre new world. This crazy fantasy world gets even wilder when the new Dr. Benway forces Bill to try a medication made from the flesh of a giant centipede. Giant insects roaming around, typewriters whispering that his wife is cheating on him with his best friends Hank and Martin, these are the norms of this new reality. Bill tries to kill his wife by hitting her over the head with a liquor bottle.
