Night Train to Lisbon 2013
Swedish classical languages professor Raimund Gregorius’s life is incredibly monotonous and boring. However, everything changes when he saves an attractive Portuguese woman from committing suicide. For no apparent reason, Gregorius jumps on the train the woman boards and finds himself in Lisbon. His intriguing quest begins with acquiring the book the woman was reading, written by a Portuguese author who was both a physicist and a poet. The author had experienced many things in his life and had fought against the Portuguese dictator. Gregorius is deeply affected by the author’s exciting life and begins researching to find out what happened to him later on. As he pieces together the smallest details about the author’s identity, he embarks on a journey to uncover the dusty pages of history, questioning the true meaning of life in the midst of an extraordinary story.
