Middle-aged director Guido Contini is struggling to finish his new film as he navigates through a mid-life crisis. With multiple women in his life – his wife Louise, his mistress Carla, his muse Claudia, and others – each representing different desires and expectations, Contini finds himself drowning in pressure.
