On Her Majesty’s Secret Service 1969
Famous agent James Bond once again faces off against his mortal enemy, SPECTRE leader Blofeld. Blofeld has developed a dangerous virus that could destroy the world, and Bond must stop his horrific plan. In the process, Bond saves a young woman named Tracy Draco, who is the daughter of one of the worst crime lords in the West. Her father offers Bond her hand in marriage in exchange for help in finding Blofeld. Bond agrees and marries Tracy, leading to a showdown with Blofeld at his base in the Swiss mountains. Despite featuring some of the series’ most thrilling action scenes, the film, starring Australian actor George Lazenby as Bond, did not achieve the expected success at the box office. The studio decided to go back to working with Sean Connery for the next Bond film.
