The film follows a street musician who is emotionally devastated after being left by his girlfriend who has just moved to London. One day, while wandering on Grafton Street in Dublin, he meets a Eastern European girl who has moved to Dublin in hopes of starting a new life. She works as a cleaner in an upper-class household and is trying to save enough money to buy a piano she has been dreaming of. In a materialistic Dublin, where society has become disconnected, these two men form a strong bond through music.
