During the Spanish Civil War from 1936 to 1939, Jorge del Pino, who supported his family through acting, loses his wife and son in a bombing. A year later, he goes to Madrid to live with his friend Enrique, and they are joined by an orphaned boy named Miguel. As they continue their comedy theater performances, Jorge, who was once a resistance fighter, is constantly harassed by Franco’s soldiers, waiting for him to make a mistake to arrest him. Jorge and his team find themselves in the middle of a plot to assassinate Dictator Franco.
