JR is building some of his monumental projects in the film. The frame follows him as his work inspires new perspectives with its unifying power in the construction process. His main goal, as always, is to turn the images of the residents of the communities he visits into intriguing, compelling art installations. Answering the question “Can art change the world?” by changing our perception of the world, JR turns the lens on his own work in his new film. From graffiti videos shot on the rooftops of Paris to the US-Mexico border, from the slums of Rio de Janeiro to the latest collaborations in a California prison, he documents various contexts in time and space.
