Madres paralelas follows two women, Janis and Ana, who meet in a hospital room where they are both about to give birth. Janis, in her middle age, is happy and content with her unexpected pregnancy, while the teenage Ana is scared, regretful, and traumatized. Janis tries to encourage Ana as they wander the hospital corridors at night. Through a few exchanged secrets, a close bond forms between the two women, leading to a series of events that will change both of their lives in unexpected and profound ways.
